Not when I take it.You can get a seat on the E during the weekend. However, you cannot always get a seat during late night. And I take the E train every weekend all the way to Chambers as well. I can see the crowdiness with my own eyes, you cannot fake it. The only time the E is crowded in Manhattan on the weekend is when it is the only local. And even then, you can still get a seat 90% of the time. However, the E train does get busy on weekends when there is construction on the Archer Branch. And if you MUST have the E run local, write an angry letter to the MTA saying so, and if the MTA really does listen to your plan, see how many people are pissed off by it. Most likely less than the people who would be happy about it. Express service is not always good, just look at the Astoria Line. |
