Went to Canada a couple of weeks ago ... getting in to visit some friends was a rather spirited game of twenty questions, presenting an itinerary and handing over lots of documents. Coming back into the US was a 5 minute exercise. Canada seems to be taking the whole thing a lot more seriously than WE are ... should be amusing watching the boy TRY to illegally enter Canada. :)Did you show a passport? I've never been delayed long entering Canada with a passport. I HAVE been carefully questioned on rentering the US. For example, entering into WA from BC: - Where are you from? - NYC. - How long have you been in Canada? - Two days. - Let me look in your trunk. After search: - You came all the way from NYC just to spend 2 days in Canada? - Sure, I spent 8 days in the west, but only 2 were in BC. The rest were in WA. (This idea had never occurred to the guy.) |
