I was not aware of any car elevators at the 158th St Yard. The only one I knew of and I had seen, was the elevator at the Bronx Park Terminal. That elevator was used to lower cars to ground level storage under the terminal. The building remained for many years after the terminal stub was demolished. There were many ground level tracks at the 158th St yard. However, I believe that there was a ramp to those tracks.
