Generally speaking, it looks like IRT riders are pretty much out of luck in getting any relief....short of completion of the 2nd Avenue line on the east side or installation of CBTC.I wonder how much train per hour capacity would be added if CBTC were installed on IRT lines? In so far as added service on lines where it's needed, it would seem that the IRT would be the next logical hoice after the L. |
