So you would prefer to have San Diego's system over ours? We have two heavy rail lines and a light rail line that operates almost like heavy rail with 5-minute rush hour headways. San Diego has no heavy rail and their light rail lines have mostly 15-minute rush hour headways.In all fairness to San Diego, it's a much smaller metro area than Los Angeles, so it doesn't need as many rail lines as LA. What's more, they had a lot of their rail system up and running a good while before Los Angeles had any modern rail transit. |
