(1993) the rule was the trains had to be picked clean, and they had platform C/Rs to ensure that. It isn't that way now. There is no enforcement of that so apparently you can pretend not to hear the announcement and get away with it. I was getting off a LEX train at BB to work WTC a couple of weeks back, and the southbound 6 was making an automated announcment that the next stop was to the effect of the northbound side. If I was a pax that didn't know the system and heard "next stop", which train would I run to? Brooklyn Bridge IS the last stop for anyone on the train arriving at BB. If they really wanted you off that train they will get you off. |
