If this is true as reported, the best course of action is to file a police report, make a complaint to the NYPD Civilian Complaint Review Board (CCRB), and also contact an attorney, as there may be civil damages.Remember, there is a record of this, as police officers are required to write in their Memo Books the details of any police action taken, whenever they receive a complaint.
