Maybe we could turn this into a class action....Oh wait There already is one August 7, 2006 -- The New York Civil Liberties Union today expanded a federal lawsuit to challenge the New York City Police Department's treatment of photographers and filmmakers. In the amended complaint filed this morning in United States District Court in Manhattan, the NYCLU alleged that NYPD officers are unlawfully detaining photographers and threatening them with arrest if they will not destroy their images or show them to police officers. Contact the NYCLU and see if you can be added to the list |
