Not quite. They were originally Model-69A cars, although I sold 10 of them to NYCT because they were defective. I had to remove the pants and put on third rail shoes, as well as make them shorter and narrower, but the cost of doing that minus the sale price was cheaper than disposing of them or fixing them or letting them wheeze around.

Here's a rare photo of former 69A "R32" car testing on the NYC subway before service without a complete rebranding and renumbering.


BTW, the big circle thing was there to cover up the rusty hole caused by the water from the bathroom sink leaking out and corroding everything.
