I actually live in South Ozone Park and I live pretty close to the ROW and I feel that they really should reactivate the line somehow as a subway line or as a LIRR line. I just hope that maybe one day this ROW can be used transit wise. One thing though, they have to get all of those buses out of the tracks since I believe they are there illegally. Another thing is that they have to clear up the area (maybe develop it a little, theres a lot of junkyards/auto body shops, maybe put in a shopping center or something), But overall, I really would like to see the ROW reopened again. If they do ever do this they have to reopen the Woodhaven junction. Does anyone have photos of this station? |
