I remember reading of those plans for non-stop high-speed (sic) tracks through Jamaica. Along with the possibility of re-opening Union Hall Street station for the "improving" Jamaica shopping district. I did see in a public notice that the rebuild would cost somewhere in the vicinity of 70 million or so. Guess that scared `em (the LIRR) out of the project. |
