["Richmond Hill would have been a low use station anyway, even if frequent service, because of it's proximity to Jamaica, and as you said, the 121st St station on the J."]I don't know, if I remember using the Hempstead Line with my grandparents in the 50's & 60's, people got on and off at Union Hall Street and if I'm not mistaken that was even closer to Jamaica than Richmond Hill and also close to the Jamaica El.
