I used Fresh Pond pretty frequently in the early 90's, as it was very convenient for me (although only if I was to travel around the time the infrequent trains ran - there was one westbound in the morning, and two eastbounds in the early evening). There were always the same two people that got off with me at Fresh Pond in the morning, and always about one or two other random people (that was the morning train that came from patchogue). In the evening, I also used it a few times, and there was always about 3 others there, not necessarily the same 3 each time. The official LIRR count was 4 or 5 I believe in the LIRR stats, and my personal experience supported that too. Glendale had an occasional 2 or 3 people, but sometimes there were none. The same one guy I always saw at Richmond Hill, and he was the only guy I ever saw use RH. If I went towards LIC from Fresh Pond, there were about 3 or so people that used Haberman, but I have never seen nyone get on or off at Penny Bridge. |
