There were a few plans that used RIchmond Hill when there were supposed to be Amtrak strikes, which would have closed Penn Station to the LIRR. Back in the early 90's, I was all set to ride the special trains. LIRR diesel service was to end at Richmond Hill (they didn't want to overload the 7 or the E, so diesels were to skip Jamaica, not go to Hunterspoint, having people transfer to the 121st St J station to a special "P" train that would be a super express running via the WillyB, the Chrystie cut, and terminating at I think 34th St/8th, or somewhere over there (not sure of the terminating spot, but it was to run to the 8th Ave line).
