Of course, this problem is its worst on the Lexington Avenue lines.

Then don't ride the Lex trains next time.

The subway isn't that dark. Of course the tunnels are, but many stations are comfortably bright.

There's no need to make the interiors of trains look like hospital waiting rooms.

That argument has no merit.
