Yeah, I'm just speaking of the outer body shell. I'm not talking about the stuff that goes into the interiors--the seats, straphangers, standee poles, the operational equipment in the cabs, door controls, heat/ventilation equipment. Just the bare car body with nothing in it. As I was saying, laht allows for a lighter car body, and the R1-R9's appeared to have a sturdier car body than the R10-R36's.
