The R40 is my favorite car to railfan, however, for sentimental reasons -- when I was a toddler, I was too short to see out of mostrailfan windows, and the R40 was the only one out of which I could find a decent view without having to be carried by my parents. A lot of people must have felt the same way. My five-year old likes the Slants for the same reason. He calls it "the triangular train". |
