"I think the problem is that by not addressing transportation infrastructure needs, there are other losses/wastes that can be translated into monetary terms (or even money itself) and that from a utilitarian standpoint, there would be more value (or less lost/wasted value) in investing in expansion of the existing transportation network than in not doing so."Translation: Take money away from another project(ie cancel a highway project) and redirect it to subway expansion. Fine with me - good luck getting that done. |
