[allowing transfer from bus to subway was something that should have been done a century before.]Sorry to burst yer bubble, but a century ago (actually less) the subway system was made up of TWO and later THREE competing transit companies (IRT, BMT, and the city-owned IND). Not to mention that many of the bus companies in the early years were independent companies as well. |
