Well..they aren't.It was just a bone tossed their way to put an end to all that talk about leaving the City of New York. Plus...with all those discounts for island residents for bridge crossings...they had nothing to cry about. Face it..S.I squashed every single road and transit improvement offered... The Narrows Bridge had to be forced down their throats! |
