Not so..The 44's were TESTING in 1971...and placed in service the following year.. Actually the first cars arrived on TA property in 1970..but were rejected due to framing flaws....and sent back to ST Louis Car... The 46's were suppose to follow the 44 order in 73..but delays at the Pullman plant cause to the cars to be late by several years... |
