I liked cortlandt too. By the way, those are the stone benches that 49th Street also had. While Cortlandt didn't get the sound proofing experiment like 49th did, it did look a little similar in design. Although I don't think they redid the floor at Cortladt.

The original tiles in Cortlandt were a little more intricate than average. Instead of monograms in the ceiling band, they had mosaics of an old sail ship. All covered of course..... I think a few remained in the fare control area, like they do of the old Canal mosaics at Canal Street. At least until 9/11 of course though....
