From my days long ago living along an EL Hoboken route, rush hour HOB-WTC trains used to have every other train run non-stop. As I recall, both at HOB and WTC had one track dedicated to the locals and another to the expresses. I believe at HOB, the three tracks from left to right were 33, WTC Lcl, WTC Exp with the right most (WTC Exp) track being normal unused outside of rush hours.I think during the hours of Express HOB-WTC service, service frequencies at HOB were every six minutes to 33rd and every 3 to WTC (every six local and every six express). That's 20 trains per hour into a stub station without tail tracks. |
