"Unfortunately we no longer hold this event. Your interest is appreciated."I'm not surprised since I've been talking about NJT wanting to kill off Hoboken Festival for many years. In it's first years it was an unbelievable success with people wall to wall in the concourse. Then slowly but surely, the vendors didn't return because of higher fees. It was the fall classic but NJT one year moved it to May and later on renamed it Try Transit Festival. It never recovered and died a slow death. It was the ultimate railfan experience. Remember excursion rides on DL&W mu's and real steam engines on display ? Bill "Newkirk" |
