Ok, I know there are several figures out there for most electrics and I strongly suspect that those figures are the short term overloads for both locomotives. The manual wouldn't happen to specify whether those numbers are continuous or overload are they? I believe the continuous rating for the ALP46 is something like 8000hp, and between 5000 and 6000 horsepower for the AEM7 and ALP44.
