From 8 to 9, I count 4 PJ trains that are not on the CT timetable, 4 PW trains, 7 Babylon, 1 Far Rockaway, 2 Long Beach, 2 Hempstead. These trains skip Jamaica.The reverse peak deadheads do matter because (I'm not sure if Peak direction uses 2 or 3 tunnels), it may not allow the third tunnel to be used. Put it this way, just like MN, if there was much more reverse peak service, they would not be able to use the third track for peak direction service. |
