I would assume that they may divert some of the former Hunterspoint Ave station runs to LIC instead (when the reason for being for the Hunterspoint Ave station ends with the dawn of Grand Central access). They will probably close the Hunterspoint Ave station (remember that a new Sunnyside station is also opening with the dawn of ESA).Some former Hunterspoint diesel runs may terminate at Jamaica for passengers (with a deadhead to LIC yard), others may be diverted to Long Island City station instead. There is no need for them to operate both the Hunterspoint Ave station and the Long Island City station once Grand Central service begins, and Sunnyside station opens. |
