I dunno, I have taken photos on the west coast, and never experienced anything like that, in fact quite the opposite. At the Commerce station near LA, there were a bunch of Metrolink workers doing some trackwork, and when they walked past me and the person I was with, they said "Good Morning", and kept walking. Most Union Pacific trains I have photographed out there, I have even gotten a blast of the horn, and a wave from the engineer when taking photos of his passing train. The horn blast scared the hell out of me, and occasionally blurs my photo, but that's besides the point - haha. At Union Station, I had taken a few photos of both the gold line and Metrolink, and while I didn't get a "good morning" or something, I didn't get bothered either. There was cop at Union Station once when I rode the gold line, but he didn't say anything, but he probably just thought I was a tourist (which really I was)! |
