It seems like the LA Sheriffs Dept are downright paranoid. The LAPD, when it comes taking pictures of the equipment out here, doesnt really give a crap. All theyre intrested in is people that are actually committing crimes. Same thing applies for the Long Beach Police Dept and they actually patrol some of the stations in Downtown LB ( though they dont patrol LBT ). There was one instance where 2 guys were taken into custody ( by the LA Sherrifs Dept ) near the UPRR Dolores Yard in Carson for taking pics of the locomotives on Alameda Bl .... A PUBLIC STREET !!! I'd would get the ACLU involved in this thing, even an attorney. Theres nothing wrong with transit photography.
