I recall the old booths at 168th and 160th, which they kept to the end. Ditto for Fulton St before the stations were rebuilt. Queend Blvd and Metro got new booths, even though the stations closed in 1985. I suspect most of the J line got them sometime after 1976. I wouldn't want to work those old booths today. They offered little protection from gunshots and fire. |
