Posted by South Ferry on Wed Mar 15 23:26:31 2006, in response to MTA To Remind Officers There Is No Ban On Train Photography, posted by Bob Andersen on Wed Mar 15 22:16:06 2006. Whilst at Newark Penn Station this evening, I was tapped on the elbow by a C/R of the NJT 7:bleeblah train and was told politely AND courteously "Sir, you can not take pictures..." I responded with "Hello Sir, I have a NJT Photo Permit" and displayed it to the C/R whom then took three seconds to glance at the photo pass and reply "OK, Thank you." Then he went back to his platform position and I went back to filming.. (my FIRST shoot-stopping encounter) I applaud this C/R for his COURTEOUS approach and wish some of youse would have had similar experiences.. Yeh, NJT may have rescinded the photography pressure and restriction altogether, but I gotta give the C/R guy credit--- he handled his approaching me in a manner that would put TA BRASS to pasture... |
