Then they should be gutted and retrofitted to run with the rest of the fleet..

It is not worth it for 2 reasons:

1. It will probably cost as much as a brand-new R160 trainset.
2. Unlike the R11/34 cars, you cannot intermix the R110B cars with anything else as there are no other 67-ft equipment.
