Question - were the R-44 and R-46 cars FRA compliant ? Just what are the FRA regulations for equipment operating on the National Railway network ?To my knowledge, the Staten Island R-44's were FRA compliant. I was told by an an employee who was a friend of mine, the S.I. R-44's had brighter headlamps and extra grab bars. Not sure about the NYC R-44/46's. Bill M. |
