Was there any idea or proposal for the Jamaica line to get extended past 168th Street ?Yes, as part of the original SAS plan of September 1929. It was part of a simultaneous expansion of both the Liberty Ave Line. It would have been extended east along Brinkeroff and Hollis Aves to Springfield Blv. There would also have been a spur from Brinkerhoff that looped back along 180th St to Jamaica Ave to connect with the Jamaica Ave Line. |
