It's not hard for him to figure out. And if a dispatcher or one of the train operators, or train service supervisors, tells him the route they are taking from Pitkin to Coney Island, he can wait at the right stations.In this case he waits at Euclid and the R-46's come through on the express track. Hammers then takes the next passenger train, an A, or C, to Hoyt-Schermerhorn, which will likely pass the cars being towed, because passenger trains are the priority. Those old cars being transferred to 38 yard will make a lot of stops waiting for directions from local supervision and letting some passenger trains pass first. I'm not sure where this train "switched ends"(changed direction) to go southbound. But while it was, Hammers got on a southbound passenger train and waited at Church until it came. |
