Your first statement is not exactly true. If you look at the 1966 Service Guide, you'll see plenty of overlap of South Ferry service between the 1 and 6 trains. If you want to tell me that east side IRT service to South Ferry was alternated between the 5 and 6, that's different.But you didn't answer my question. When was 6 service to South Ferry terminated and why? Did the MTA feel that the Bowling Green-South Ferry shuttle provided adequate service there? |
