UPPER ROOSEVELT AVE HAS A CONNECTING RAMP INTO THE LOWER MANH.BOUND LOCAL TRACK JUST BEFORE THE STATION. AT ONE TIME IT HAD 3RD. RAIL TRACK & A HOMEBALL. SEVERAL CARS WERE LAYED UP THERE TO BE USED IN PASSENGER SERVICE. IT WAS ON THE MODEL BOARD.I SHOWED THE FEMALE TOWER OPERATOR THIS ABOUT 20 YEARS AGO,HER EYES POPPED OUT OF HER HEAD.SHE SAID THAT SHE WAS WORKING THERE AT LEAST 10 YEARS AND NEVER SAW THIS. I ASKED HER IF SHE EVER TURNED ON THE LIGHTS,NO SAID SHE. |
