Every weekday morning I see the parade of tractor trailers crawling westbound on the Long Island Expressway, heading for the Throgs Neck Bridge, fouling up traffic. The need is there, and it might mean that one or more freight yards need to be constructed. Every 200-car freight train that takes 200 tractor trailers off the highways is a win for everyone.
