In 1964/5 the lirr was in serious talks with the T.A. about buying BMT standards & triplexes for use on their lines.


Do you recall how you came about this information?

Maybe a trusted "insider"?

What was the voltage being used by the LIRR back then?

Now I believe it is 750 volts.

Where do you suppose they would utilize the Standards and Triplexes?

Maybe the Atlantic Branch or other feeder branches?
