I only rode on Friday 10/29/04, and only from somewhere in Lower Manhattan (probably Rector) to Queens Plaza, and I remember to Astoria as well- as I remember it, the train went both through the 11 St cut and to then to Astoria (with a turnback in the tunnel). I saw the BU Gate cars at Astoria Blvd., but to my eternal sorrow, did not ride them.
