IIRC, the 2 ran 4 or 5 car consists on the overnights (my grandmother lived in a house in East New York just north of the Newlots Av station until her death in 1976. By the 70s, I lived in Crown Heights (with 3 years in Illinois 1971-1974), but I would often stay over there, and I could see the north track (track 4) from the window of my room. When they were running 4, the north motor would be in a view, was kinda weird, as I was used to seeing the middle of the consist from the window. |
