R-17: The IRT had operated from the Composites and Gibbs Hi-V's together from opening day in 1904. They were very nervous about having a collision with both steel and wood cars in the same train. Once all the new Hi-V's were delivered by 1916 the Composites were transferred to the el lines. Larry, RedbirdR33 |
