Your northeasterns don't really understand Indian history that well. You got the moron "BHI" group going on about stolen this and that, and the other side limiting the knowledge to Manhattan or the Delawares.

A large chunk of the tribes were very violent, and had empire aspirations.


And even those had peace treaties with the European settlers in some of the harshest regions. Even allowing Public Schools to operate - a German obsession.
