My wanderings over there at various times of the day will reveal some sets of Jerome cars in the Concourse Yards, but not necessarily getting a cleaning. Trains are even sent into the tunnel being sent down the IND to who-knows-where. Coney? 207th?The cars on the 4 and the 1 are some of the filthiest. There are one or two R62A sets that have been deep cleaned and the fiberglass ends repainted bright silver. These are on the 1 line. So it can be done. |
