They absolutely DID operate on the Flushing Line during the first year of the World’s Fair with an R-17 as the single since the original R-17 color was only slightly darker than the original R-29/33 red. When I was coming home from Queens College in the afternoon I would get off at 111 St and wait for the R-33 put in from the yard. |
