No sooner did the MTA design the NTTs with double doors between the cars to make crossing easier, the agency imposed regulations prohibiting the practice. Typical of the cesspool of incompetence that passes for MTA upper management!!!At the time there was some deaths causes by stupidity. People riding between cars, doing stupid shit, and dying. I think it happened on an R-40 Slant in the early 2000's. Prohibited riding or walking between cars signage went up so MTA would have a better change fighting lawsuits. As a result of this incident and others the rule went in place. |
