Posted on one of the social media pages from a well-known West Coast transit agency (Tuesday, April 12, 2022)...SFMTA | San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency 4h · Following this morning’s reports of violence in the @NYCTSubway, we are devastated by the news & our hearts go out to our transit colleagues in NY and everyone impacted. We are working with @SFPD and monitoring the situation locally. We have contacted the @TSA & confirmed that there is no credible, specific threat for other transit systems. However, we’ve increased our security in and around the Muni Subway. Please remember, if you see something, say something & call 911 or notify the nearest Muni/SFMTA employee immediately.
