Gambling had a big on air news team. WOR's newscasts ran for 15 minutes on the top of the hour. Jack Allen with the 5&6, Harry Hennessy at 7&9, Henry Gladstone at 8&10 with Peter Roberts on the half hour with a 5 minute summary and 5 minutes of "schtick". The way the state of radio is today, 1 person would be doing all those newscasts, but that discussion is for another message board. |
