I've said this several times previously but Budd was the best at building stainless steel car bodies. They began building stainless steel cars in the 1930s and patented the special welding process used for welding stainless steel parts together. The plant on Red Lion Road in Philadelphia where the R32 cars were built no longer exists having been demolished years ago. |
