When Air Train jumps Rockaway Boulevard at the Van Wyck Expressway, the supporting columns appear more hefty than the ones along Avenida Tlhuac. There is a similarity, with a single row of columns supporting a two-track rapid transit line, but the Air Train engineering appears much more solid.--- There is a Vips restaurant just west of the crash site. During our 1984 explorations, this was a reliable chain with an extensive menu. |
